How to book and use EV charging at Mill Farm

• Simply tick the EV charging option when you book
• Park in the allocated space and plug in when you arrive
• Our 7kW Zappi chargers are powered by 100% renewable energy and are compatible with most EVs and plug-in hybrids
• Overnight charging is the easiest way to ensure your car is ready each morning
• A modest flat fee per stay covers the cost of the electricity – just £25 (inc VAT) for a short break, £40 for 1 week stay. Hybrid owners pay just £10 for a short break and £20 for week
• Charging facilities are exclusively for guest.

• MFG Barton Mills: 8 chargers ranging from 50kW to 150kW, or chargers at the Elveden Inn for a lunch stop.

Do you offer EV charging at all cottages?

Yes, all our guests have access to our two 7kW Zappi EV chargers on site.

Do I need to bring my charging cable?

Yes, if possible! One charger is tethered, one you need to bring your own cable.

Is there a cost for EV charging?

We charge a simple flat fee per stay, which you’ll see when booking. £25 (inc VAT) for a short break, £40 for 1 week stay. Hybrid owners pay just £10 for a short break and £20 for week.

Are your Zappis protected by a code?

One of the chargers is protected by a code, we will give the code to you on arrival.

Can I charge overnight?

Yes. Overnight is the easiest and most efficient time to charge.

What type of EV charger do you have?

We offer 7kW Zappi chargers, suitable for most electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids including Tesla, Jaguar iPace, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, MG’s and more. 

Are the barns powered by renewable energy?

Yes, we use a combination of biomass, heat pumps, battery storage and solar power.
