We just returned from a week-long stay at Mill Farm Eco Barns with our family, and we had an absolutely lovely time.The setup here is extremely good, and the facilities are truly exceptional. Travelling with a little one can be tricky, but they provided absolutely everything we needed for a stress-free trip, including a high chair and a cot. They even had a brilliant box of toys waiting for us, which was a lifesaver and kept him fully entertained on the rainy days we had!The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. They really couldn't do enough to help us and gave us spot-on advice about the local area—pointing us in exactly the right direction for where to go, what to do, and the best places to eat.Without a doubt, my son's favourite part of the holiday was when they kindly let him feed the chickens and collect the fresh eggs. It absolutely made his week!We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend Mill Farm Eco Barns to anyone looking for a wonderful break, and we are hopefully returning very soon.

Thoroughly lovely place in a great location. The house and garden are a perfect base to explore the surrounding area and are equipped with everything you could possibly need, along with some yummy welcome goodies. The games room and the chickens were a big hit with our boys. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grain Barn.The accommodation is beautiful, the layout is perfect for families, and takes advantage of the amazing views across the Winterton countryside.We loved sitting and watching the sunset from the balcony accompanied by bird song…pure bliss!Would highly recommend the location, accommodation and host. Emma was a fab host, super friendly from the moment we pulled up, with the offering of cakes, local knowledge for walks and things to do, and always taking the time for a simple check in to make sure our stay was on track.If you are planning on holidaying in this part of Norfolk, the you must try one of the three barns on offer at this location, it’s awesome! 🤩

A cosy barn, beautifully presented and perfectly placed for a peaceful, Norfolk escape. It is situated in walking distance of the beach and pub in Winterton and close to the Broads. Gardens (including East Ruston, Somerleyton, Hoveton Hall & Raveningham) lie within a 30‑minute drive, offering delightful days out across the local area.

From our first communication Emma has been really friendly, helpful and quick to respond. When we arrived we received a warm welcome. We stayed in the Hay Barn for two weeks. Emma provided a lovely welcome pack and lots of information about the local area. The accommodation is exactly as described, very clean and comfortable, and has all the amenities you need for a holiday. There are lovely walks from the barn, and lots to do and see around The Broads. We had a lovely time and hope to go back again.

We had a really great stay at Grain Barn. The surrounding area is beautiful and watching the sunset over the farmland was one of the best parts of the trip.From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch, especially the brownies. The place itself was clean, comfortable and clearly very well looked after.The games room was also a great place to chill out and added some extra fun to the stay.I’d definitely recommend Grain Barn to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a lovely setting.

This was our first visit to the hay barn and it didn’t disappoint, on arrival we was greeted by Neil one of the owners who made us feel very welcome. The hay barn its self is very well equipped with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It’s well maintained and very nicely decorated a very comfortable stay was enjoyed by myself,husband and the dog. The walks from the hay barn are great if you like walks this is the place for you, with the beach just a short walk away. I can’t recommend the this place enough and we will definitely be rebooking again.

Loved our stay, perfect throughout! Emma was super responsive before we got out there with a few questions I had, but even more so during our stay. The barn was spotless and had everything you needed, the arrival gifts for us and the dogs was a lovely touch. The allotment was great for fresh food and the local walks are fab. The views from the barn were incredible, especially watching the sunset over the fields or sitting on the balcony with a coffee listening to the birds in the morning. The garden was fully secure for our 3 small dogs and Emma always went out of her way to give us space knowing we had a nervous dog which sounds like a small thing but made for a relaxing space for our dog. The only thing is we found the stairs to be slippy for our dogs who struggled to grip the stairs so we ended up carrying them throughout the stay, but absolutely would return here!

WOW what a super location.The Mill Farm eco barns are in an excellent location for visiting the Norfolk Boards ..Great Yarmouth ( can recommend the Sea Life centre)and numerous superb beaches.The Threshing barn is delightful .A warm welcome from Emma along with a yummy cake and numerous pantry items all of which were delicious provided a super start to our stay.We are a family of 3 generations all of which were well catered for with downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms.The barn was spotless and had everything we needed.The games room delighted our granddaughters…who attempted to teach Granny the rules of pool !!.Local walks from the Barns were available…we managed some super photos of the sunset.A quiet location in beautiful countryside what a treat.Do hope we can return.Thanks Emma.

Absolutely loved the Grain Store! The location is perfect. It’s peaceful and tranquil but just a short walk into the village or to the beach. The accommodation itself is huge and well laid out. Lovely kitchen, comfy sitting area and fabulous views from the balcony. Comfy spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Large safe garden for our dogs with lots of beautiful spring flowers. We loved how we could walk straight into the countryside with dogs off lead right from the house. And with a strategically placed dog bin! Emma provided us with lots of fresh goodies which we really appreciated. The beach and sand dunes were so close and we had lots of lovely walks. Winterton-On-Sea is such a pretty village with a great pub. Thank you Emma. We all felt instantly at home (including the dogs) and we will definitely be returning.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! It was perfect for our family of 7, including our dog and 4 year old. It was so lovely having the fields on our doorstep, the games room and we even got to feed the chickens!

We loved staying at Emma and Neil's Hay Barn - it's a really special place with a lot of attention to detail and a strong environmental conscience. It's in a beautiful area and there is so much to do and see. A gorgeous welcome package awaited us as we arrived and Emma's information on the local area and beyond is really helpful. Would highly recommend a stay.

Very enjoyable stay with our young family. Great access to the beach, local walks and the house is very well set up. Brilliant hosts who made us feel very at home.

Fab Fab fab!The accommodation met our expectation & more. The Grain Barn is huge and you have everything you need for your holiday. Dogs are so catered for and welcomed. Lots of walks from your doorstep & the bonus of the beach only a short walk away.We made use of the games room. Lovely treats on arrival, their home made Apple juice is lush as well as the eggs, bread and cake.You will not be disappointed 😊

The perfect place for time by the sea with family, friends, dogs…all three in our case! There’s a wonderful story about how Emma’s place came to be - discovering that made the place even better! The recommendations for where to eat and drink were spot on - and we came away from our long weekend happy and refreshed!

Beautiful, clean barn in a wonderful position. For me, personally, it was the nicest place I had stayed in.
